NTL SOFTBALL: CANTON FALLS TO DEFENDING LEAGUE CHAMPS, NPL (2024-04-12)

CANTON — Canton fell to the defending league champions, NP-Liberty, 18-0 in four innings during NTL softball action Friday.

NPL pitcher, Haley Litzelman, tossed a perfect four innings, striking out five with no walks. 

The Mounties opened with 10 runs in the first, then scored four in the second and fourth innings.

Tara Gilbert got the start, and took the loss, going 3 1/3-innings with 12 hits, four walks, and 14 runs, six of which were earned.

Jaylee Ward pitched the final 2/3-innings with four walks, no hits, and four earned runs.

Canton (1-6) will travel to Millville on Monday, a team they defeated earlier in the season.
