NTL TRACK & FIELD: NEB GIRLS TOP SAYRE IN DUAL MEET (2024-04-13)
Northern Tier Sports ReportSAYRE — In NTL dual meet action NEB girls defeated Sayre, 49-42, while the boys lost 102-28 Saturday.
Several of NEB’s athletes were at the Windsor Invitational on Saturday.
For the girls Ireland Coats won the 400 (1:25.64) and the 800 (3:27.80), with Sophia Allis taking second in the 800 (3:40.1). Coats also won the 1600 (8:12.40) followed by Allis (8:15.20), and Kayah Frasier (9:10.20).
Abigail Chobot won the discus (58-feet, 4-inches), the javelin (56-feet, 5-inches), and the shot put (23-feet, 3-inches), while taking second in the 100 (15.54).
Frasier won the long jump (13-feet) and was second in the 100 hurdles (21.4).
On the boys’ side Westen Perkins won the javelin (100-feet, 10-inches) and shot put (38-feet, 1-inch), while taking second in the discus (79-feet, 8-inches). Myles Bennett was third in the discus at 76-feet, 7-inches).
Ed Eastman won the long jump (13-feet, 10-inches) with Malachi Taylor second in 13-feet, 9-inches). Eastman was second in the triple jump at 30-feet, 8-inches.
Jordyn Evans won the high jump at 5-feet, with Lucas Lambert third in the 100 with a 13.04.
