NTL SOFTBALL: WYALUSING FALLS TO DEFENDING NTL CHAMPS NP-LIBERTY (2024-04-15)

WYALUSING — For two innings Wyalusing hung with defending league champs, NP-Liberty, but the Mounties used a big third inning to break away for a 13-0 win in five innings Monday.

NPL scored five in the third as they batted around, then added four more in the fourth, and fifth, to pull away.

Addison Bly (1-for-2) and Addison Fluck (1-for-2) had the two Rams’ hits, with Bly getting as far as second base in the fourth inning.

Fluck took the loss, striking out two with seven walks, seven hits, and 13 runs.

Mckenzie Tice got the win for NPL, striking out 13 with just the two hits. She retired 14 of the 16 batters she faced.

Wyalusing (1-4) will host Williamson on Tuesday.
