Neveah Vroman (2-for-4) had a double and scored four times for Canton with Addie Pepper (2-for-4) also getting a double with three runs scored, and 2-RBI.

Gilbert got the start, and the win, going three hitless innings, with five strikeouts and three walks. Acla pitched the fourth with two strikeouts, two walks, and one earned run.

In the top of the first Ward led off by getting hit by a pitch, then scoring on an error off the bat of Vroman.

Pepper followed with a hit, with Vroman then scoring on a wild pitch. After back to back walks Pepper found home on a ground out for the 3-0 lead.

In the second Adriane Katona led off with a walk, with her pinch runner, Gowin, reaching third two batters later on a Vroman double.

Millville was able to get a second out but a Lehman single scored Gowin, followed by a Graham double bringing in Vroman and Lehman for the 6-0 lead.

In the big fourth the first four Canton batters reached, with Ward and Vroman both scoring on errors.

Graham would hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Pepper to put the Warriors up 9-0. Lehman would score on a Gilbert hit for the double digit lead.

Two batters later Bastion’s double brought in Gilbert. Acla later scored on a passed ball, followed by Bastion being driven home by Ward on an error off her bat.

After a walk to Vroman Pepper doubled in Hugo and Ward for a 15-0 lead.

Two batters later Graham drove in Vroman on an error, then Gilbert singled in Pepper for their 17th run.

Millville would score on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fourth.

Canton (2-6) will travel to undefeated Troy on Tuesday with a 4:30 p.m. start.
