TROY JH SOFTBALL OFF TO A STRONG START (2024-04-17)

Troy Jr. High Softball is off to a great start going 3-0 in their 1st week of play.                                   

On Thursday April 11 Troy defeated Northeast Bradford 18-3 in 6-innings. Erinn Knapp started and had 10 strikeouts in 4-innings, while Haidyn Watson had six strikeouts in the last 2 -innings.       

Watson led the team going 4-for-4 with two singles, one double, an in the park home-run and walked once. Erinn Knapp was 3-for-4 with a single, two doubles and a walk. Aleiyah Kutt went 3-for-5 with two singles and a triple.                                  

On Monday April 15 Troy defeated Towanda 11-0 and 13-1. Watson pitched the first game going 3-innings with seven strikeouts, one walk and allowed one hit. Izzy Renzi led the team going 2-for-3 with a single and double, Erinn Knapp went 1-for-3 with a single and Lexi McMurray 1-for-3 with a single.                  

Game 2 Erinn Knapp pitched 4-innings and had 11 strikeouts, two walks, and one unearned run. Knapp led the team going 3-for-3 with a single, two doubles and was hit by pitch.                             

Troy Jr. High’s next game is Monday ,April 22 home against Williamson. Start time is 4:00 p.m.
