NTL SOFTBALL: WYALUSING USES 10 RUN 4TH INNING TO ROLL PAST CENTRAL COLUMBIA (2024-04-20)

BLOOMSBURG — Wyalusing softball ended a busy week on a high note, winning their sixth game in seven days, a 16-6 victory over Central Columbia in 5 innings.

The Rams were down 3-1 after the first but used a 4-run third to take a 6-5 lead going into the fourth.


That’s when Wyalusing had a 10-run inning - all with two outs - to pull away.


Kylie Pickett (3-for-4) had 2-RBI with a double while her courtesy runner, Kenda Millard, scored three times.


Josie Ferris (3-for-4) had 5-RBI with a run scored as Addison Fluck (2-for-3) scored three times.


Addisyn Bly (1-for-1) walked twice with four runs scored, and an RBI, as Treanna Nickeson (1-for-5) scored and drove in two runs.


Allie Liddick (1-for-4) had an RBI with Danielle Wilson (1-for-3) scoring and driving in a run.


Rachel Wilson and Grace Burridge both scored along with Kirra Millard, while Kyla Carpenter (1-for-1) had a hit.


Pickett got the win, going the distance to strikeout four with two walks, eight hits, and six runs.


In the first Bly reached on a walk, then scored on an error off the bat of Liddick.


In the second Fluck reached on an error and later scored on a Ferris fielder’s choice.


In their big third inning Bly led things off with a walk, followed by Pickett getting a hit. Bly would later score on a passed ball, followed by Danielle Wilson driving in Millard. 


Fluck then singled, followed by Rachel Wilson getting walks. Ferris then hit in Fluck and Rachel Wilson to give the Rams a 6-3 lead.


After CC got two back in the bottom half of the inning Wyalusing went on a 10-run rally in the top of the fourth.


Bly was hit by a pitch, followed by Pickett hitting a single. 


Bly would later on a passed ball, followed by Danielle Wilson reaching on an error, which scored Pickett.


Fluck kept the inning going with a hit, while Burridge loaded the bases by reaching on an error.


Ferris then drove in Danielle Wilson and Fluck with a single. Kirra Millard was then hit by a pitch, was Carpenter singled to keep the rally going.


Nickeson would drive in two with a hit, followed by Bly adding one more with a single. Pickett doubled both of them in, then scored herself on a Liddick hit for their 16th run.


Wyalusing (4-5) will travel to Susquehanna on Monday.
