NTL SOFTBALL: WYALUSING ROLLS TO WIN OVER SUSQUEHANNA (2024-04-22)

SUSQUEHANNA — Wyalusing softball kept things rolling with an 18-2 win over Susquehanna in three innings during non-league action Monday.

The Rams scored in every inning, getting four runs in the first, six in the second, and eight in the third, with Susquehanna getting two in the third.


Allie Liddick (3-for-3) had a day, belting two home runs with two runs scored, and 5-RBI while Raelea Harvey (2-for-3) had a double with two runs and 3-RBI.


Addisyn Bly (2-for-3) had a double with 5-RBI as Treanna Nickeson (1-for-1) had a double, scored three times, and drove in a run.


Addison Fluck (2-for-2) rocked a double as Kylie Pickett (1-for-3) had a double with 2-RBI and a run scored. Danielle Wilson (1-for-2), Rachel Wilson (1-for-1), and Alaina VanDeMark (1-for-2) each scored a run, and Emily Johns (1-for-2) drove in a run. Josie Ferris scored twice, Kirra Millard scored once, and Kyla Carpenter had an RBI.


Pickett got the win, striking out two with three hits and two walks.


In the first Nickeson led off with a double, then scored on a Bly single. Bly later scored on a Pickett double, with Pickett scoring on Liddick’s first homer.


In the second Nickeson and Bly led off with back to back singles. Pickett reached on a fielder’s choice then Liddick cleared the bases with her second home run.


Danielle Wilson kept things going with a hit, followed by Fluck doubling. 


A Ferris fielder’s choice brought in Wilson, then Ferris scored on a Harvey hit. Harvey later reached home on an error off the bat of Nickeson to make it 10-0.


In the third Kirra Millard reached on a 1-out error, followed by Danielle Wilson reaching on an error, as well.


Fluck singled to load the bases, with Ferris driving in Millard on a fielder’s choice. Carpenter would single in Fluck, followed by Harvey driving in Ferris and Carpenter.


After Nickeson drew a walk Bly brought her and Harvey in with a double. Pickett kept things going with a hit, followed by Liddick plating Bly with a single. 


Wyalusing’s final runs came when Pickett scored on a Danielle Wilson hit.


Wyalusing (5-5) will host Towanda on Wednesday.
