NTL TRACK & FIELD: TOWANDA GIRLS SECOND, WYALUSING THIRD, NEB FOURTH AT TRI-MEET (2024-04-23)

TOWANDA — The Towanda girls team took second in an NTL quad meet on Tuesday, with Wyalusing third and NEB fourth.

NP-Mansfield (77.5) won with the Knights scoring 74 points, the Rams 67, and the Panthers 47.5.


Wyalusing won the 4x100 really in 54.23, with NEB taking the 4x400 (4:37.18) and the 4x800 (10:41.67).


Wyalusing’s Olivia Haley won the 100 in 13.21 and the 200 in 26.66 with NEB’s Lillie Maynard (28.76) second.


Haley (1:00.26) won the 400 as NEB’s Anaiah Kolesar (1:07.46) was third.


Towanda went 1-2 in the 800 with Isabella Larson (2:34.04) and Anna Dunn (2:38.79). Larson won the 1600 (5:34.44), as well.


Towanda went 1-2 in the 100 hurdles with Katelyn Blokzyl (18.67) and Karis Flynn (18.76) while NEB’s Amelia Kapr (19.71) was third.


Kapr (54.16) won the 300 hurdles followed by Flynn (54.90) and Blokzyl (1:00.04).


NEB’s Emma Neuber (91-feet) was second in the discus as Wyalusing’s Adeline Sutton (81-feet, 1-inches) took third.


Neuber (31-feet, 10 1/2-inches) and teammate Cora Franklin (29-feet) went 1-2 in the shot put.


Wyalusing’s Vayda Rought (13-feet) was second in the long jump while NEB’s Leah Fries (12-feet, 4 1/2-inches) took third. Fries (28-feet) took third in the triple jump.


Towanda’s Melody Hakes (4-feet, 10-inches) won the high jump followed by Wyalusing’s Makenzie Kitner (4-feet, 10-inches) and Chloe Kunkle (4-feet, 8-inches).


Towanda’s Marin Maynard (8-feet, 6-inches) won the pole vault with Wyalusing’s Mia Wilcox (8-feet) second, and Towanda’s Cheyanne Morgan (7-feet, 6-inches) third.


Towanda swept the javelin with Kaitlyn Nonnemacher (91-feet, 1-inch), Bryn Woodruff (90-feet, 2-inches), and Mya Maynard (81-feet, 7-inches).
