NTL TRACK & FIELD: TOWANDA SECOND, WYALUSING AND NEB TIED FOR THIRD IN QUAD MEET (2024-04-23)

TOWANDA — Towanda took second in a quad meet they hosts on Tuesday, with Wyalusing and NEB tied for third.

NP-Mansfield (87) won followed by Towanda (74), while Wyalusing and NEB had 56 points each.


Wyalusing won the 4x100 (46.94) with NEB winning the 4x400 (3:41.36) and 4x800 (9:06.93).


In the 100 Towanda’s Joey Weinman (12.50) and Hayden Space (12.58) went 2-3. Weinman (25.56) won the 200 with Space (25.79) third.


Towanda’s Matthias Lindquist (56) won the 400 with Space (56.94) third. NEB’s Ryan Jones won the 800 in 2:10.10 with Towanda’s Anthony Rifenbark (2:15.23) third. Panther Brayden Miller was third in the 1600 in 5:22.42.


Wyalusing’s James Rogan won the 110 hurdles in 17.60 followed by Towanda’s Aiden Blokzyl (18.98) and Lindquist (21.33).


NEB’s Aiden Kapr (42.95) won the 300 hurdles with Blokzyl (48.1) second, and Wyalusing’s Jack Fischer (50.28) third.


NEB’s Tyler Russell (119-feet, 5-inches) won the discus with Towanda’s Varrius Farrell (118-feet, 2-inches) and Jason Valdez (103-feet, 6-inches) second and third.


Farrell (32-feet, 1-inch) won the shot put with NEB’s Westen Perkins (38-feet, 9 1/2-inches) second. 


Wyalusing’s Zibiah Walton (18-feet, 5 1/2-inches) won the long jump with teammate Shay Gartland (18-feet) second. Rogan (36-feet, 3 1/2-inches) won the triple jump.


Wyalusing’s Dylan Johns won the high jump at 6-feet, 4-inches as teammate Jonathan Earle won the pole vault at 10-feet, 6-inches.


Towanda’s Wyatt Stranger (9-feet) and Jace Gunther (8-feet, 6-inches) went 2-3 in the pole vault.


Wyalusing’s Josh Stoddard won the javelin in 146-feet, 8-inches followed by Kapr (125-feet, 8-inches) and Towanda’s Kolton McPeak (125-feet, 4-inches).
