Northern Tier Sports ReportSeveral area wrestlers earned Academic All-star status at the District IV and PWCA State level for boys and girls.
On the boys’ side for District IV first team members were Canton’s Lyle Vermilya, Hudson Ward, and Holden Ward.
Canton’s Carson Rockwell was on the second team, with Towanda’s Mason Higley, Sawyer Robinson, Rylee Sluyter, Jazick Brown, and Brayden Spencer all on the third team.
For PWCA they break it down by grade level.
Canton’s Hudson Ward was a first team senior, while Canton’s Lyle Vermilya and Holden Ward are first team juniors. Earning honorable mention junior honors were Towanda’s Mason Higley, Rylee Sluyter, and Sawyer Robinson.
Canton’s Carson Rockwell earned third team sophomore honors.
On the girls’ side NEB’s Anaiah Kolesar made first team at the District IV level and at the PWCA sophomore level.
