NTL TRACK & FIELD: NEB DISTANCE CREW HAS BIG DAY (2024-04-27)

WYALUSING — The distance crew for NEB had a strong day at Wyalusing’s Lasagna Invitational on Friday.

For the girls Gracelyn Laudermilch won the 1600 (5:08.82) and took second in the 800 (2:22.43), while Lillie Maynard was fourth in the 800 (2:32.23). 


On the boys’ side Creed Dewing was third in the 1600 (4:36.32) while leading the 4x800 relay to a title in 8:36.14, along with Brody Bennett, Brayden Miller, and Aiden Kapr. Miller also took seventh in the 800 in 2:08.36.


Also for the girls their 4x400 relay of Maynard, Anaiah Kolesar, Melanie Shumway, and Amelia Kapr took sixth in 4:27.84, while Emma Neuber was fifth in the javelin (88-feet, 9-inches), and sixth in the shot put (29-feet, 9-inches).


Becca VandeMark was seventh in the triple jump in 29-feet, 7-inches with Cora Franklin eighth in the shot put in 29-feet, 6-inches.


For the boys Kapr was third in the 300 hurdles (42.87) and the javelin (135-feet, 7-inches), while their 4x400 relay of Kapr, Dewing, Ayden Finch, and Miller took sixth in 3:41.13.


In the team standings the NEB boys were tied forth eighth with Wyalusing at 33 points while the girls were 10th with 34 points.
