NTL TRACK & FIELD: WYALUSING GIRLS TIE FOR THIRD AT NTL CHAMPIONSHIPS (2024-05-11)

ATHENS — The Wyalusing girls’ track and field team tied for third at the NTL Championships on Friday.

The Rams finished with 79 points, along with NEB, while Athens (154) and Wellsboro (104) were first and second.


Olivia Haley paced the Rams, taking first in the 400 (1:01.28) and fourth in the 100 (12.90).


Also on the track Riley Porter was seventh in the 800 (2:43.16), Megan King was seventh in the 3200 (12:55.49), Carol Scarborough was eighth in the 200 (29.10), and Porter took eight in the 1600 (5:52.43).


The 4x400 relay was second in 4:22.76, the 4x800 was third in 10:44.92, and the 4x100 was fourth in 53.76.


In the field Mia Wilcox won the pole vault in 9-feet, 6-inches while taking fourth in the triple jump in 31-feet, 5 1/2-inches.


The Rams also had a big day in the discus as they went third through fifth with Adeline Sutton (89-feet, 8-inches), Alissa Baldwin (88-feet, 2-inches), and Gabrielle Palfreyman (86-feet, 4 1/2-inches).


Palfreyman was also sixth in the shot put in 29-feet.
