NTL TRACK & FIELD: SEVERAL AREA ATHLETES SEEDED IN THE MEDALS AT PIAA CHAMPIONSHIPS (2024-05-23)

Plenty of NTL athletes are seeded in or near the medals at the PIAA Championships this weekend.

On the girls’ side the Athens 4x800 is seeded third at 9:39.26 and are solidly in the fast heat.

In the 1600 NEB’s Gracelyn Laudermilch is seeded fifth at 5:09.17 with Athens’ Sara Bronson seeded sixth at 5:10.33. Towanda’s Izzy Larson is seeded 12th at 5:16.04 - all three are in the second heat.

Laudermilch is seeded second in the 3200 in 11:08.05 with Bronson seeded third at 11;18.27. Wellsboro’s Lauren Kosek is seeded fourth in 11:19.83.

Laudermilch is seeded 10th in the 800 in 2:19.83.

In the 100 Wellsboro’s Piper Hoprich is in the first heat in lane six while Athens’ Abby Burgess is in the last heat running in lane six for the prelims.

In the 200 prelims Hoprich is in the first heat in lane six, with Burgess in the fourth heat, lane two.

Wyalusing’s Olivia Haley will be running in sixth lane for the 400 free prelims, with Troy’s Alyssa Parks in lane three for the 300 hurdle prelims. 

In the field Canton’s Kendall Kitchen is seeded 16th in 10-feet, 6-inches, with Wellsboro’s Annika Gehman seeded 23rd in the triple jump at 35-feet, 4-inches.

On the boys’ side in the field Troy’s Avery Sens is seeded sixth in the shot put at 52-feet, with Towanda’s Varrius Farrell seeded 14th at 49-feet, 3-inches.

Wellsboro’s Noah Morey is seeded 17th at 138-feet, 8-inches in the discus.

Troy’s Ben Warburton is seeded third in the long jump at 22-feet, 11 1/4-inches, with Wyalusing’s Dylan Johns seeded 10th in the high jump at 6-feet, 3-inches.

On the track Williamson’s Kristian Mizdail is seeded ninth in the 3200 in 9:32.21, and seeded ninth in the 1600 at 4:24.06. NEB’s Creed Dewing is seeded 13th - the last in the fast heat - at 4:26.57.

Sayre’s Marcos Quiros is in the third lane of the second heat of the 400, and in the fourth heat of the 200 in lane one.

NPM’s Zack Wilcox is the seventh seed at 1:55.38 in a very competitive 800 final heat.

The Troy 4x100 relay is in the second lane of the third heat.
