AOW: TOWANDA'S FARRELL, CANTON'S KITCHEN POST BIG DAYS AT STATES (2024-05-26)

Northern Tier Sports Report
The track and field season ended with big performances at states, and on the diamond there was no shortage of excitement.

On the boys’ side Towanda’s Varrius Farrell came about as close to getting a state medal without getting on the podium. He tied for eighth in the shot put, but lost out on the second tie-breaker to finish ninth in the state, but earning the Male Athlete of the Week honors.


For the girls Canton’s Kendall Kitchen improved her seed at states, and matched her personal best of 10-feet, 6-inches in the pole vault to finish 13th, earning her the Female Athlete of the Week honors.
