WELLSBORO’S HOPRICH NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS’ “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”A
week after winning District 4 titles in the 100- and 200-meter sprints,
Hoprich made it to the podium in both events at Pa. state meet at
Shippensburg University.
Hoprich won a bronze medal in the
200-meter dash, clocking in with a time of 25.57 seconds. She earned a
fourth-place medal in the 100-meter dash in 12.23 seconds — just .03
seconds off the bronze medal.

CORNING’S TERWILLIGER NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS’ “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”Terwilliger
was a key component in Corning besting Elmira 2 games to 1 in the
best-of-three series for the Section IV, Class AAA title.
In the deciding game, Terwilliger spun a two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts in Corning’s 3-0 win over Elmira.
Terwilliger also earned the win in Game 1, allowing two runs — one earned — on four hits, while striking out four.
In two games, Terwilliger allowed one earned run in 12 innings, while striking out 15.
