Now in the elite eight Wyalusing will face Calvary Christian on Thursday at Walter Stump Stadium in Pine Grove with a 5:30 p.m. start time.

Calvary Christian are the District I champions, and beat District XII winners, MaST II, 15-0 in four innings, in the first round.

Leading the way at the plate for them is Adam Snyder, with a .373 average behind six doubles and 14-RBI.

Caleb Rose (.360) has four doubles with 13-RBI and 18 runs scored, while Ethan Benjamin (.33) has a team leading 15-RBI and 19 runs scored.

Caleb Leader (.333) and Ben Wilson (.312) are also hitting over .300, while Jake Torressen (.295) is just under.

Leader (5-2) has the lion’s share of innings at 58 2/3 with a 2.148 ERA and 67 strikeouts.

Freshman Brian Weed (1-0) has pitched 28 1/3-innings with a 3.212 ERA and 38 strikeouts. Rose (1-0) has tossed 20 1/3-innings with a 4.475 ERA.
