YOUTH: RTL FALLS AS ALLEGHENY MOUNTAIN RALLIES LATE FOR WALK-OFF WIN (2024-07-03)

WYALUSING — RTL Majors All-star baseball suffered a heartbreaking loss, falling 5-4 to Allegheny Mountain in a walk-off during District 15 consolation bracket action Wednesday.

RTL jumped out with a run in the top of the first, though Allegheny tied it up with a run in the second.

RTL made it 3-1 with two runs in the third, but Allegheny got one back in the bottom half of the inning.

RTL pushed another run across in the top fo the fifth, but a 2-run home run by Allegheny in the bottom of the inning tied things up.

Allegheny then got a walk-off RBI single to win the game.

Eli Tinna (2-for-3) scored twice as Aiden Nystrand (1-for-3) drove in two runs. Wes Kershner (1-for-3) and Nolan Putnam (1-for-3) both scored, as well.

Nystrand started, going 4 1/3-innings with eight strikeouts. Tinna came on for the last two-thirds with one strikeout.

RTL finishes the season 5-2.
