NTL CROSS-COUNTRY: WYALUSING RUNNERS PICK UP WINS AT SULLIVAN COUNTY (2024-09-03)

LAPORTE — Wyalusing earned some dual meet wins against Sullivan County and Montgomery during NTL action Tuesday.

The boys edged Sullivan County, 27-29, thanks to their 1-2 finish against the Griffins, while the girls won 23-36. The boys also picked up a 15-50 win over Montgomery.

Wyalusing’s Trenann Tewksbury (19:41) won the boys’ race, edging out Montgomery’s John Shrimp (20:25). Fellow Ram Bradyn Johnson (20:30) took third.

Sullivan took the next four spots, with Wyalusing’s Jack Fischer (21:38) stopping the Griffin train by taking eighth. He was followed by Parker Cunningham (22:13) and Tyler Caplan (23:00) in ninth and 10th.

On the girls’ side Wyalusing’s Megan King (23:15) won over Sullivan’s Zoey Reese (24:40).

Camryn Gesford (24:52) and Riley Porter (25:17) went third and fourth for the Rams. Laina Beebe (26:18) was seventh, with Marci Gowin (29;35) taking eighth to round out their top five.

In junior high boys’ action Wyalusing’s Griffin Sheldon (11:58) was second, while on the girls’ side Ram Marin Beebe (13:50) also came in second.

The Wyalusing boys won 20-36 the girls falling to Sullivan 21-38. Both Sullivan and Wyalusing beat Montgomery 15-50.

Wyalusing will host the Lasagna Invitational on Friday.
