NTL BOYS' SOCCER: SPENCERS' HAT TRICK LEADS TOWANDA PAST GALETON (2024-09-05)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Brayden Spencer had a hat trick as Towanda kept rolling, beating Galeton 6-0 in NTL boys’ soccer action Thursday.
“I’ve never had a hat trick to start with so it feels great,” Spencer said about the night. “I just had to talk to my teammates and just communicate with them and everything went well.”
Jack Wheaton added a goal with two assists, as Ben Shrawder and Dalton Johnson also scored. Connor Barnes had two assists, with Josh Maye also picking up a helper.
Blaiz Nichols got his first clean sheet with eight saves in net as Towanda out shot Galeton 23-10.
Towanda (3-1) has now won three in a row, out scoring opponents 10-1 over that stretch as they get ready to host Southern Columbia on Saturday with a 1 p.m. start.
“I feel the best we’ve ever felt,” Spence said about their start. “We have a tough, tough Southern Columbia game Saturday, that’ll be a good game there.”
