NTL CROSS-COUNTRY: TOWANDA GIRLS 2ND AT LASAGNA, WYALUSING TAKES THIRD (2024-09-07)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWYALUSING — The Towanda girls’ took second with Wyalusing third at the Lasagna Invitational on Friday.
The Lady Knights finished with 51 points, just behind Elk Lake (42), while the Rams scored 73.
Wellsboro’s Lauren Kosek (19:41.6) won the race with Towanda’s Izzy Larson (21:05.6) fourth. Towanda had two other top 10 finishers with Mary Kate Eberlin (22:16.4) and Kenzie Brown (22:54.7) in sixth and eighth.
Hannah Petty (24:20.5) and Leila Cobb (24:38) rounded out their top five in 17th and 18th.
For the Rams Megan King (21:59.6) took fifth as Riley Porter (23:35) and Camryn Gesford (23:49.8) were 13th and 14th. Marcin Gowin (25:35.4) and Laina Beebe (24:45.2) were 23rd and 24th to round out their top five.
In the junior high girls’ race Towanda’s Maris Cobb (11:44.1) won the race as Wyalusing’s Maria Beebe (12:42.4) was fifth.
Sullivan County (37) won the team race followed by Elk Lake (53), Towanda (64), and Wyalusing (69).
