AOW: TROY'S AYRES, TOWANDA'S SPENCER HAVE BIG WEEKS (2024-09-08)

A big week of performances across all sports were showcased every day this week, with Troy’s Kali Ayres and Towanda’s Brayden Spencer both standing out.

Ayres helped lead Troy to the Williamson Volleyball Tournament title this past weekend with 32 digs, 30 kills, 27 assists, and seven aces. She also had a big day in their 3-1 win over Towanda with 11 kills, three assists, eight digs, and one ace, earning her the Female Athlete of the Week honors.

On the boys’ side Spencer helped Towanda to a 2-1 week, beating NTL foes Troy and Galeton. Against the Tigers Spencer had his first career hat trick to earn the Male Athlete of the Week honors.
