NTL GIRLS' SOCCER: NEB GOES 0-2 AT THEIR TOURNAMENT (2024-09-14)

ROME – Northeast Bradford girls’ soccer went 0-2 at their annual tournament on Saturday.

The Panthers lost a tough 1-0 contest in their morning match, then fell 6-2 to Williamson in the consolation game.


In the opener Madi Casselbury scored off a Laci Ayotte assist for the lone goal for the Warriors. The Panthers, though, enjoyed a 23-19 edge in shots, and 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.


NEB keeper Hannah Berger had 19 saves in net.


Mallorie Maynard and Lillie Maynard both had goals in the second game, with Mallorie Maynard also earning an assist.


Anna Lee had three goals and an assist for the Warriors, who out shot NEB 37-15. NEB had a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.


Berger was busy in net with 30 saves for the Panthers.


NEB (1-6-1) will host defending league champions, Troy, on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. start.
