Northern Tier Sports Report
An eclectic mix of contests today with golf, girls’ soccer, girls’ tennis, and volleyball all in action today.

GOLF

NTL at Shepard Hills, 1 p.m.: The Wildcats have two matches left to push their undefeated streak to 22, and both matches are at home. Towanda has been coming close to unseating them, along with NP-Mansfield, while Wyalusing will be looking to finish strong to earn a spot at team districts.


GIRLS’ SOCCER

Athens (5-0) at Wyalusing (5-1-1), 4 p.m.: The Wildcats have scraped by for an undefeated record so far this season, winning close contests. The Rams didn’t allow a goal until their 4-0 loss to Troy last week.


GIRLS’ TENNIS

Towanda (5-5) at NP-Liberty (2-4), 4 p.m.: The Knights have two league matches left, and if they win both they claim the NTL title. They won their first match 3-2 at home with NPL.


VOLLEYBALL

South Williamsport (4-2) at Canton (1-4), 7:30 p.m.: The Warriors come in looking to break a 2-match losing streak while South is coming off a win over Sugar Valley Rural Charter.
