NTL GOLF: TOWANDA SECOND DURING NON-LEAGUE MATCH AT EAGLES MERE (2024-09-19)

EAGLES MERE — Towanda had four golfers shoot 85 and under during a match at Eagles Mere on Thursday to take second.

The Knights scored 331, just behind winners Athens (326). Wyalusing (354) was third, Montgomery (410) took fourth, Benton (425) was fifth, and Sullivan County (465) rounded out things in sixth.

Boom Thompson led the way with an 80, while Owen Savercool finished with an 82. Graham Welles shot 84, Baylee Clark had an 85, Tommy Bowen added a 96, and Owen Lane finished with a 98.

Welles had three birdies on the day - on the par-5 second hole, the par-3 12th hole, and the par-5 18th hole.

Savercool and Clark both finished with two birdies, Savercool on the par-5 second hole, and the par-4 15th, while Clark birdied the par-4 seventh hole, and the par-5 18th.

Thompson didn’t get a birdie but finished with 10 pars on the day.
