NTL VOLLEYBALL: TROY RUNS WIN STREAK TO SEVEN WITH VICTORY OVER TOWANDA (2024-09-19)

TROY — Troy continued their strong play as they defeated Towanda, 3-0, in NTL Large School volleyball action Thursday.

The Trojans won the sets 25-14, 25-11, and 25-16.


Aryanna Andrus had 14 kills and three blocks for Troy as Kali Ayres had seven kills, and eight digs. 


Marlee Stanton notched six kills, two aces, and seven digs, with Josie Kerrick adding three kills, three assists, an ace, and six digs.


Brenna Jackson had 30 assists, nine digs, one block, and three kills, with Camryn Barbour getting three kills, two aces, a dig, and a block.


Haidyn Watson had an ace with six digs, as Alli Bailey had three aces, an assist, and four digs. Amber White finished with a kill.


For Towanda  Brooklyn Evans had four kills, two points, two digs, and a block as Karis Flynn notched 11 assists, seven digs, one kill, and one point.


Alyssa Dulaney had three points, two digs, one kill, and an ace, as Lariah Long had five digs, two blocks, two kills, two points, and an ace.


Brynsen Vargason had three points, two kills, and six digs, with Kaya Johnson adding two points, two kills, two blocks, two digs, and an ace.


Layla Miller chipped in with three digs.


Troy took the JV match 2-1 with Towanda winning the first set 25-7. The Trojans took the next two 25-22 and 15-8.


London Decker had three kills, five points, one dig, and an ace for the Knights with Layla Longcoy getting three kills, two digs, one ace, and a point.


Kendall Kellogg had three kills, four points, three aces, and three digs, as Kylee Barnes notched two kills, two points, and a dig.


Molly Roberts had nine points, four aces, and an assist, as Ali Hollett had eight points, three assists, three digs, and an ace.


Hannah Crawford had four points, three aces, one kill, and two assists, with Paige Buchanan getting a point, an ace, and two assists. Alayna Rankin chipped in with an assist, with Reese Sullivan getting three digs.


Troy (7-1) will travel to Lewisburg on Saturday while Towanda (3-4) is at the Tunkhannock Tournament.
