NTL VOLLEYBALL: TOWANDA FALLS AT ATHENS (2024-10-01)
Northern Tier Sports ReportATHENS — Towanda fell to Athens, 3-0, during NTL Large School volleyball action Tuesday.
The victory avenges an earlier season win by the Knights over Athens as the Wildcats won the sets 25-20, 25-20, and 25-14.
Karis Flynn had a double-double of 13 assists and 11 digs for Towanda to go with eight points, two aces, and a kill.
Lariah Long had 10 digs, six points, five kills, two aces, and an assist, as Kaya Johnson had five kills, five digs, three blocks, and four points.
Brooklyn Evans notched nine digs, five kills, two points, and an assist, as Alyssa Dulaney had four kills, two digs, and two points.
Caedence Wells had four digs, three points, and an ace, Lillie Maynard notched two digs, a kill, and a point, with Brynsen Vargason getting nine digs, and Layla Miller finishing with eight.
In the JV match Towanda lost two close sets 25-23, and 25-22.
Kylie Barnes had five kills, and two points, with Ali Hollett getting 12 assists, seven points, an ace, and four digs.
Kendall Kellogg had six digs, six points, four kills, and two aces, as Alayna Rankin finished with nine points, two digs, and a kill.
Molly Roberts had five digs, two points, and two aces, with Hannah Crawford getting seven digs and four kills.
Addison Barret notched a kill, and a dig, as London Decker finished with a kill, and a dig.
Nozila Ismailova had three digs with Layla Longcoy finishing with one.
Towanda’s road trip continues as they travel to NP-Liberty on Thursday.
