NTL BOYS' SOCCER: LATE NPL GOALS HURT TROY IN 3-1 LOSS (2024-10-02)

Northern Tier Sports Report
EAST TROY — Troy fell to NP-Liberty, 3-1, during a second half scoring spree in NTL boys’ soccer action Wednesday.

All four goals were scored in the second half.

Troy took a 1-0 lead a little over 10 minutes into the second half when Keegan Kerr finished off a rebound from a cross by Hart Houseknecht.

The Mounties, though, would scored back to back goals a couple minutes later to go up 2-1, then finished things off with a goal in the dying moments of the game for the win.

NPL out shot Troy 15-10 and had a 12-2 edge in corner kicks. Timothy Hornung made 17 saves in net for the Trojans.

Troy travels to Jersey Shore on Saturday with an 11 a.m. start.
