NTL GIRLS' TENNIS: TOWANDA FALLS IN TIGHT MATCH WITH BUCKTAIL (2024-10-03)

RENOVO — Towanda fell 3-2 to Bucktail during non-league girls’ tennis action Thursday.

Nadia Alderfer got them win at second singles with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Kedda Blissman, and the second doubles team of Jenalee Coe and Dalila Vega won 6-0, 6-3 over Riley Salizzoni and Tris Moore.

The Bucks, though, pulled out three three set matches over the other three matches to get the win.

At first singles Towanda’s Lainey Alderfer won the first set 6-1, but Bucktail’s Eva Sockman took the next two 7-6 (8-6), and 6-1.

At third singles Towanda’s Emma Ackley won the first set 7-5, but Bucktail’s Lola English won the next two 6-3, 6-3.

At first doubles Towanda’s duo of Jayden Conklin and Maddie Blanchard won the first set 6-2, but it was Bucktail taking the next two 6-4, and 7-6 (9-7).
