NTL GIRLS' SOCCER: RENZO NETS HAT TRICK AS TROY ROLLS PAST JERSEY SHORE (2024-10-05)
Northern Tier Sports ReportJERSEY SHORE — Saydi Renzo had a hat trick as Troy rolled past Jersey Shore 7-0 during non-league girls’ soccer action Saturday.
It was just 1-0 at the half thanks to a Alexis McRoberts goal at the 28:41 mark. The Trojans then poured in six goals in the second half.
McRoberts finished with two goals as Madi Palmer and Kylee Roy had one apiece.
Renzo got things going in the second half with a goal at the 31:30 point, then 36 seconds later Roy scored for a 3-0 lead.
Renzo then scored at 29:02, followed by Palmer finding the back of the net on a penalty kick with 20:23 left in the match.
Renzo got the hat trick at 14:07, then McRoberts finished off the scoring with 5:03 left to play.
Troy out shot the Bulldogs 33-5 and had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. Madelyn Seeley made six saves for the shutout.
Troy will host NEB on Monday.
