NTL GIRLS' SOCCER: TROY DOWNS ATHENS TO FINISH UNDEFEATED LEAGUE SEASON (2024-10-16)

ATHENS — The Troy girls’ soccer team finished off an undefeated NTL season with a 4-0 win over the Wildcats on Wednesday.

Giana Renzi and Alexis McRoberts had two goals each while Saydi Renzo added an assist.

Renzi’s first goal just 2:32 into the contest to put Troy up 1-0 early. That held until 13:48 left in the second half when Renzo fed Renzi to make it 2-0.

McRoberts then added a pair of free kids late for the 4-0 win.

Troy out shot Athens 21-11, while the Wildcats had a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.

Troy (17-1) will now see who they’ll play in the District IV, Class AA playoffs next week.
