HUGHESVILLE — Towanda kept their postseason hopes alive by beating Hughesville, 3-0, during non-league volleyball action Monday.

The Knights won the matches 25-15, 25-21, and 25-9.


Karis Flynn had a double-double of 10 points and 23 assists, plus nine digs, two aces, and two kills, while Alyssa Dulaney had 14 points, three digs, two kills, and five aces.


Brynsen Vargason notched 13 digs, four points, and four kills, with Brooklyn Evans getting 11 kills, eight points, four aces, three blocks, and nine digs.


Lariah Long had seven digs, three kills, and one point, while Kaya Johnson had seven points, five kills, five aces, and three digs.


Lillie Maynard had five points, five kills, three digs, and an ace as Layla Miller notched four digs with an assist. Cadence Wells chipped in with two digs.


Towanda lost a tight JV match, 2-1, to the Spartans. Hughesville took the first set 26-24, with Towanda winning the second 25-19. The Spartans won the third 16-14.


Ali Hollett had six digs, nine assists, four points, two aces, and three kills for Towanda as Hannah Crawford had four points, three kills, two aces, and a dig.


Kendall Kellogg notched six points, two kills, and three digs, with Mollie Roberts adding 11 points, two aces, one kill, and two digs.


Alayna Rankin had four points, an ace, four kills, and two digs, as Lennon Rice had a kill with a dig.


Kylie Barnes had seven points, five aces, a kill, and a dig, with Nozila Ismailova getting two digs. London Decker and Layla Longcoy had one dig each.


Towanda (8-9) will host Wellsboro on Tuesday.
