Northern Tier Sports ReportA busy day as Wyalusing hosts Meadowbrook Christian for playoff soccer, while Troy looks to clinch a league title against NEB.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Meadowbrook Christian at Wyalusing, 4 p.m.: The Rams host a 10-7 match-up in the District IV, Class A playoffs. They missed each other at the Meadowbrook Tournament, but MC has wins over NEB (2-0), and NP-Mansfield (3-2) with losses to Towanda (4-0), and Sullivan County (4-3) in common opponents. The winner plays Muncy on Saturday at noon at Milton.
VOLLEYBALL
NEB (17-2) at Troy (16-2), 7:30 p.m.: A win by the Trojans will clinch the NTL Large School title for them. NEB won the first match-up 3-1 at their place.
Canton (10-8) at Wyalusing (6-12), 7:30 p.m.: The Warriors have won two straight as they solidify the second seed in the District IV, Class A volleyball playoffs. Wyalusing is coming off a pair of tough losses over the weekend.
Wellsboro (14-4) at Towanda (8-9), 7:30 p.m.: A tough match-up for the Knights but they get the Hornets at home. They lost to Wellsboro 3-0 in their first meeting.
