AOW: TROY'S PARKS, NEB'S JONES END THEIR CAREERS WITH STRONG RACES (2024-11-03)

Things are getting down the end for Fall Sports, with several team’s seasons ending this past week, though a few are still going. Cross-country finished up their seasons, NEB volleyball is moving on to states, and Troy and Towanda football are heading to the district semifinals.

Highlighting the weekend was a strong showing at the PIAA Cross-country Championships, with Troy’s Alyssa Parks ending her career with a state medal. She took 15th overall in the Class A race, and is this week’s Female Athlete of the Year.

On the boys’ side NEB’s Ryan Jones finished off his career with a personal best 28th place finish in the Class A race, just three spots from a medal. He’s the Male Athlete of the Week.
