The Wyalusing golf kept humming along in their fifth season since bringing the program. The 2024 iteration of Rams’ golf once against qualified for team districts, and had four individuals earn their right to golf at the individual district competition.

“We had a fantastic varsity golf season this fall, highlighted by many strong individual performances during both the regular season and postseason,” said first year Wyalusing coach Chad Romanowski. “Seniors Connor Smith and Hunter House, junior Lucas Girven, and sophomore Myles Kershner all had impressive seasons, qualifying for individual districts— with Connor and Myles advancing to the second day!”

The Rams went 23-21 on the season to just sneak into the District IV Team Tournament - going 18-18 in NTL matches. Despite just getting into team districts Wyalusing finished in the middle of the pack.

At districts Smith ended up 11th in the field, while Kershner took 24th.

On the season Smith finished with an 86 average, good enough for 10th in the league, while House averaged 91.24 for 15th. Girven (92) was 16th, and Kershner (93.74) was 19th.

They lose some key golfers in Smith and House, but bring back enough to keep rolling in 2025.

“With eight lettermen this season, the team is in great shape for the future,” Romanowski said.
