NTL BOYS' SOCCER: TROY BATTLES THROUGH TOUGH 2024 CAMPAIGN (2024-11-10)
BY CHRIS MANNINGNorthern Tier Sports ReportIt was another tough season for Troy boys’ soccer, but did show improvement as the year went on.
The Trojans finished 2-16, going 2-3 to end the year after an 0-13 start to the season.
During those first 13 games they had four games that were decided by two goals or less, including a 2-1 thriller at Towanda, and a 3-2 contest at NEB.
They got a 1-0 win over Galeton to ensure they wouldn’t go winless, then had three straight closes losses to NPL (3-1), Jersey Shore (1-0, and Williamson (2-0) - all playoff teams.
The Trojans ended the season with a 1-0 win over Towanda on senior night to send their graduates off on top.
Troy returns most of their team as they just had a couple seniors, and will be looking to carry over their momentum into 2025.
