TOWANDA — The Towanda junior high boys’ basketball team defeated Canton, winning the A game 42-29, and the B game 50-16.

In the A game Gabe Wolf had nine points for Towanda while Harper Welles scored eight. Patrick McPeak netted seven, with Ryot Vester finishing with six.

Blayke Spencer had four as Joey Montonya, Alex Clemens, Ryan Hemphill, and Scott Kjelgaard scored two points each.

C. Jennings led Canton with 12 points while T. Thompson scored seven. D. Holton and J Whitehead had five points apiece.

In the second game Dempsey Stevens and Deegan Blumenauer had 18 points each for Towanda as Owin Stempel and Brayden Cox both netted four. Hayden Blake, Cooper Aukema, and Ray Vanderwal each scored two.

P. Best had eight points to lead Canton with K. Hoover netting five. C. Colton scored two, and L. Fitch netted one.
