COLLEGE: CANTON GRAD WARD WRESTLES FOR LOCK HAVEN AT TOURNAMENT (2024-12-03)
BY BRYAN SEYMOURNorthern Tier Sports ReportWith the college wrestling season upon, we look at one of our local athletes wrestling for Lock Haven University. Hudson Ward from Canton took to the mats at the Mat Town College Open I. Wrestling at 157 pounds this year for Lock Haven.
Ward, wrestling attached for Lock Haven, opened up his day by winning by decision over Kosta Koufalis from the Spartan RTC 10-5. With this win, Ward would move to the round of 16.
Here, in the round of 16, Ward would face off against Marco Albanese of Binghamton. Ward would lose to Albanese by a major decision, 15-1. With this lose Ward would drop into the consolation bracket.
Ward’s third match would be against fellow teammate and fellow District IV wrestler Chase Burke (Benton). Again, Ward would fall in this third match by decision 7-1.
