NTL WRESTLING: ROCKWELL MEDALS FOR CANTON AT PANTHER HOLIDAY CLASSIC (2024-12-14)

ALTOONA — Canton’s Carson Rockwell took home a fourth place finish at the 2024 Panther Holiday Classic on Saturday. 

Rockwell (152) went 3-1 on Saturday, with a fall, a tech fall, and an 11-4 decision to reach the consolation final. He lost 1-0 to Central Cambria’s Jake Wilson to go 6-2 in the tournament.

The rest of Canton’s wrestlers Saturday came up just short of the podium as Lyle Vermilya (121) and Blaine Wesneski (172) both just before the medals. Vermilya lost a 9-7 decision to finish 3-2.

Wesneski came into the day on a 4-match win streak, however, he lost his next bout by fall Saturday morning, finishing the day 4-2.
