NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: NEB ROLLS PAST WILLIAMSON (2024-12-16)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION — NEB jumped out to a 21-10 first quarter lead as they rolled past Williamson, 67-22, during NTL girls’ hoops action Monday.
They extended that lead to 34-18 at the half, then outscored the Warriors 21-4 in the third quarter to put the game away.
Four different Panthers hit double figures, led by Leah Beebe, who hit four 4-balls en route to 19 points.
Becca VanDeMark added 14 points, Lillie Maynard scored 11, and Lilah Hughes chipped in with 10. Mallorie Maynard netted five, Aurelia Kolesar and Kara Dughi had three points apiece, with Ireland Coats rounding things out with two.
Kenna Thomas led Williamson with 10 points.
Hughes had eight points in the first quarter while Beebe netted seven as the Panthers took the 11-point lead at the first horn.
It was a tighter second quarter, with NEB out scoring the Warriors just 13-8 behind six points from Beebe.
VandeMark exploded for 10 points in the third, while Lillie Maynard netted seven, as the Panthers pull away for the win.
The Panther JV won 33-14 with Kolesar having a season high 17 points to lead NEB.
NEB (3-1) hosts Wyalusing on Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. start.
