SULLIVAN COUNTY ROLLS PAST CMVT FOR FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN (2024-12-18)
Northern Tier Sports ReportLAPORTE — Sullivan County boys’ basketball won their fifth straight game, rolling past CMVT 62-44 during Mid-Penn action Wednesday.
Lucas King had a career high 23 points to lead the Griffins, to go with eight steals, while Ryan Murray had a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards.
Colin King added six points, seven boards, four assists, and three steals, with Cayden Smithkors getting seven points, and six rebounds.
Tucker Blasi had nine points, as Jaiden Moore added seven boards. Dominic Marotti netted three, and Conner Morgan added two.
Tyson Brown led the Rams with 12 points.
It was a tight first quarter as Sullivan led just 14-10 behind eight points from Lucas King.
However, a 21-point second quarter put the Griffins up 35-19 at the break. Lucas added 11 more points in the second.
Murray took over in the third, netting eight points for Sullivan as they went up 49-28 going into the final frame. In the fourth Lucas scored five, Murray netted four, and the Griffins got the conference win.
Sullivan won the JV game, 34-32, behind nine points from Landon Bahr.
The Griffins are at Millville on Saturday.
