NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: TOWANDA FALLS TO JOHNSON CITY IN CONSOLATION GAME (2024-12-29)
Northern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA, N.Y. — Towanda fell to Johnson City, 53-28, in their Josh Palmer Fund Regional Bracket consolation game in girls’ basketball action Sunday.
Johnson City led 15-4 after the first quarter and pulled away from there.
Brynn Woodruff had nine points, and six boards, to lead Towanda, as Mya Maynard added eight points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
Kennedy Heyer notched four points, as Mary-Kate Eberlin, Reese Sullivan, and Karis Flynn had two points each. Eberlin, and Flynn both added two steals.
Payton Perry chipped in with one point, and three assists.
Towanda (2-4) travels to Athens on Friday with a 7:30 p.m. start.
