AOW: WYALUSING'S NICKESON, TOWANDA'S SLUYTER HAVE BIG WEEKS (2025-01-06)

Only about half the week last week had contests due to New Year’s but there was a full week's worth of excitement, with several big performances.

On the girls’ side Wyalusing gave Troy their first NTL loss in two seasons, led by Treanna Nickeson’s 14 points, and six boards, earning her the Female Athlete of the Week honors.

On the boys’ side Towanda’s Rylee Sluyter had a strong day, going 6-0 with four falls, one forfeit, and a decision to help the Knights take second at the Flynn Duals. That earns him the Male Athlete of the Week honors.
