ON TAP TODAY: A MIX OF WRESTLING AND HOOPS ON THE DOCKET (January 7, 2025)

A mix of wrestling and boys’ hoops for this Tuesday with Canton hosting two events.

WRESTLING

Athens (3-0) at Canton (2-2), 7 p.m.: Canton’s busy week continues as they host Athens, who comes in undefeated on the season. The Warriors are coming off a loss to Montoursville on Monday.

Towanda (12-3) at NEB (4-6), 7 p.m.: The Knights took second at their annual Flynn Energy Duals over the weekend, while the Panthers saw six wrestlers get on the podium at the South Williamsport Tournament.

Troy (2-5) at NP-Liberty (5-4), 7 p.m.: The Trojans hit the road as they head to Liberty, as part of their three matches in four days this week. Troy opened the week with a tough loss against Wyalusing.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Troy (5-2) at Towanda (6-3), 7:30 p.m.: Towanda comes in on a 3-game win streak while Troy is coming off a big win over CV. This will be just Towanda’s second home game of the season.

NEB (7-3) at Canton (4-4), 7:30 p.m.: The Panthers have won two straight while the Warriors are on a 2-game losing streak. 

Wellsboro (4-5) at Wyalusing (1-6), 7:30 p.m.: The Hornets have won two of three, including a win over Athens, while the Rams are coming off a loss to Towanda.
