NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: TROY DOWNS CANTON (2025-01-12)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTROY — On Coaches Against Cancer Night Troy boys’ basketball defeated Canton, 69-18, during NTL action Saturday.
Troy jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead and never looked back.
Trey Teribury hit four 3-pointers en route to 16 points, while adding three assists, and two steals for Troy, as JB Burbage had 16 points, six steals, three assists, and two blocks.
Evan Woodward had nine points, seven assists, and six steals, Lincoln Chimics notched nine points, three assists, and three steals, with Joseph Frye getting eight points.
Joey Lackey had six points, and five steals, with Spencer Martin finishing with three points. Easton Teribury chipped in with two points, and five boards.
Ben Fitch had seven points to lead Canton with Andrew Smith, and Quincy Wesneski scoring three points each. Talin Williams added two.
The Trojans jumped out to a 21-2 lead in the first as Burbage had seven points, and Frye netted five.
The Trojans went on to score 32 points in the second quarter with Chimics and Burbage netting seven points apiece.
Troy out scored Canton 16-10 in the second half as Trey Teribury notched eight.
Troy is at Wellsboro on Tuesday while Canton hosts Williamson.
