AOW: TROY'S CHIMICS, NEB'S MAYNARD HAVE BIG WEEKS TO HELP THEIR TEAM TO UNDEFEATED WEEKS (2025-01-12)

It was an exciting week of action in the first full week of contests since mid-December. Several area hoops team continued to roll, while Towanda had back to back big days on the mat.

The Troy boys’ basketball team went 3-0 this week, with Lincoln Chimics a big reason. He averaged 14.7 PPG, including 19 against Towanda, as the Trojans continue to dominate in league play. Chimics is the Male Athlete of the Week.

On the girls’ side NEB’s Lillie Maynard had a big week, averaging 17.5 PPG, 6.5 SPG, 5.0 RPG, and 3 BPG to lead the Panthers to a 2-0 week, including a big divisional win over Canton, earning her the Female Athlete of the Week.
