NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: CANTON ROLLS PAST MONTGOMERY (2025-01-13)
Northern Tier Sports ReportCANTON — Canton jumped out to a 31-9 halftime lead as they rolled past Montgomery, 53-13, during non-league girls’ hoops action Monday.
Kendall Kitchen had 21 points, six steals, four boards, and four assists to lead the Warriors, with Cailyn VanNoy netting 16 points on 7-for-14 shooting to go with nine boards, five steals, and three assists.
Lydia Roupp finished with six points, four boards, and two steals, while Stella Rockwell and Danah Wesneski had four points apiece. Rockwell also had three steals, with Wesneski getting two.
Alexis McRoberts chipped in with two points, and two blocks, with Cheyenne Fitch grabbing four rebounds.
The Warriors led 14-1 after one as VanNoy netted seven points to lead Canton. They added 17 more points in the second quarter as Kitchen went off for nine points.
In the third Kitchen, and VanNoy, combined for 14 of the team’s 16 points as they built a 47-13 lead.
Canton will travel to Williamson on Wednesday.
