NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: TOWANDA PULLS AWAY FROM SULLIVAN COUNTY (2025-01-13)

LAPORTE — Towanda turned up the defense as they defeated Sullivan County, 65-30, during non-league girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Knights nabbed 39 steals in the game, led by Payton Perry’s double-double of 13 points, and 10 steals to go with four assists, as May Maynard had 14 points, seven boards, and five steals.

Brynn Woodruff finished with 13 points, with Karis Flynn getting 11 points, and five steals. Ali Hollett netted six points, as Mary-Kate Eberlin had four points, and seven steals. 

Reese Sullivan notched two points, and three steals, with Kenzie Vanderpool getting two points, too.

The Knights jumped out to an 18-8 first quarter lead as Maynard had eight points. 

They added 15 more points in the second quarter for a 33-12 lead at the half. Perry, and Hollett both had 3-balls in the frame.

Towanda then went off for 20 points in the third as Flynn scored seven, while Maynard added six.

Towanda won the JV game 49-11 as Hollett had 12 points. Lennon Rice and Sullivan each netted 10.

The Knights travel to NP-Mansfield on Wednesday.
