NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: WYALUSING FALLS AT ATHENS (2025-01-14)

ATHENS — Wyalusing fell 66-40 on the road at Athens during NTL boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 17-6 first quarter lead en route to the win.


Hunter House led Wyalusing with nine points, as Shay Gartland, Jared VandeMark, and Ashton VandeMark had six points each. 


Zabiah Walton, and Will McBride had four points apiece, with Tyler Caplan scoring three, and Myles Kershner adding two.


Jace Babcock netted 20 for the Wildcats, who finished with three players in double figures.


Babcock paced Athens in the opening quarter, hitting two 3-balls as they took the 11-point lead. They went on to out scored Wyalusing 12-7 in the second for a 29-13 lead at the half.


The Rams found the range from deep in the third as House hit two 3-balls while Ashton VandeMark netted one, scoring 15 points in total, but Athens added 16 more.


Athens went on to out score Wyalusing 21-12 in the fourth.


Wyalusing (1-9) travels to Towanda on Thursday.
