NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: NEB ROLLS PAST CV (2025-01-15)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWESTFIELD — NEB rolled past CV, 64-37, during NTL girls’ basketball action Wednesday.
They out scored the Indians every quarter, netting 21 points in the final frame to secure the win.
Becca VandeMark led the way with 21 points, three boards, and four steals, as Leah Beebe notched 15 points, three steals, and three assists.
Aurelia Kolesar had eight points as Lillie Maynard finished with seven points, seven rebounds, seven steals, and eight assists.
Lilah Hughes added seven points, five assists, and four steals, while Mallorie Maynard notched four points, six boards, and three assists. Kara Dughi chipped in with two points.
The Panthers led 12-10 after one behind two 3-balls from Beebe. Beebe went off for nine more points in the second as NEB built a 28-17 lead at the half.
VandeMark paced NEB in the third quarter, scoring seven of the team’s 15 points, as they extended their lead to 43-27.
In the final frame VandeMark hit two 3-balls as part of an eight point effort, while Kolesar netted six, as the Panthers pulled away.
NEB won the JV game 51-19 as Sydney Howland scored 19 points to lead the Panthers. Dughi added 16, and Kolesar netted 12.
NEB (9-2) hosts Williamson on Friday.
