NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: VANNOY, KITCHEN LEAD CANTON PAST SAYRE (2025-01-18)

CANTON — Canton dominated Sayre, 59-31, to pick up the NTL girls’ basketball win Friday.

The Warriors jumped out to a 24-5 first quarter lead en route to the win.

Cailyn VanNoy had 23 points on 9-for-13 shooting to go with five boards, five assists, and five steals.

Kendall Kitchen netted 19 points, including four 3-balls, along with four assists, and five steals, Stella Rockwell, Cheyenne Fitch, and Lydia Roupp had four points apiece.

Alexis McRoberts had two points, eight rebounds, and two steals, with Danah Wesneski netting three points.

Of the 24 first quarter points 22 were scored by Kitchen and VanNoy, while in the second Canton scored 15 points to take a 39-12 lead. VanNoy had six in the second to pace Canton.

The Warriors went on to score 14 in the third to secure the win, led by five from Kitchen.

Canton (9-5) hosts Athens on Tuesday.
